After reading a post ranking Chaos and Disorder I decided to rank all of Prince's albums. Each song is ranked on a scale from 1-10, 10 being highest. Songs that were considered classic Prince songs were given 10.Released singles were given a rank no lower than 7. After each song was ranked ,I added the numbers and divided the number by number of songs on the album. This is how the final score was tabulated.

The results, to say the least, were shocking . Some of my favorite Prince albums are ranking in the bottom half of the catalog. The Prince albums with the highest rankings were the Prince albums with the lowest number of songs. This gives more credibility to the "filler" arguement.

This by no means is an "professional assessment or a scientific one. Feel free to compose your own .

Things that shocked me 3 of my favorite Prince albums graded out "low"
Lovesexy,TRC,D&P, and the Symbol . My conclusion was simply "filler" lowered the score.
