Okay, I'm jealous, our radio stations here are so...limited. Geesh! I don't even know which one to listen to just in case. The Hip-hop stations? Definitely not the old skool stations. The only pop station? there's this new one (less then a week old) claims to play all the newest music from a variety of artist, but I'm not sure of the genre yet. I could be simply be missing it skipping around on the dial.

Old School Prince sho' nuff. A Prince song that actually sounds like Prince wow...who'd a thunk it!
This is leagues above Guitar. At least we're assured that the new CD has one good song on it.

Sounds different than what others are doing right now and sounds like Prince. I think its a winner. This one will get heavy radio airplay IMO, strong melody, recognizable Prince linn-d sound.

Am I the only person who thinks it sounds like a Gold Experience track?
(that's not a bad thing in my book, people)

coltrane3 said: It's just a good basic Prince song. I don't think it conjures up images of his best work, but it will do just fine.
I need to keep listening. At first, I though it was bland, then I started to like it better, this morning I'm indifferent. But, overall I like it. And, I'm glad a lot of people really seem to enjoy it. "Guitar" is a disaster. After last year's Te Amo Bore-azon or whatever, this is like listening to Mozart's "Don Giovani"

(that's not a bad thing in my book, people) He lifts a theme from "I Hate U"... that's why it sounds so Gold Experience...

MAN! Now I should let ya'll know that i am 42 year old black man from kansas the first found Prince when i was walking through a bowling alley/skat rink and heard Soft and Wet, knew then and still that Prince was/is amazing
also, i am a church organist and a keyboardist and writer 4 a gospel group called Good News Music Ministry Now, I think Future Baby Moma is the cut, the jam, the track and the stuff, (a few years ago that last word would have been 1 letter shorter) anyway, i am feeling this groove this is a great cut, at least if u are in my age group, and coming from where I'm from, i'm from man this is the cut, played it back 2 back 2 back 2 back 2 back for the last 30 minutes and still feeling this one this one here is slammin folks i am tellin u, this is the cut, for late night smooth grooving, love making, (with ur wife or husband now folks), this is the one that u b ridinig in the car wit a partner and turn and just look at each other like daaaaannnnnggggg dude that is slammin' hot lovin this folks 4 real low-rail

what is the direct link from 3121?

I hear a mix of things...the vocal is very strong and pretty...its very smooth...light some f'ing candles...my future baby moma is on the way home
the spoken part is fine doesn't at all bother me...fits in well It does remind a bit of I Hate Us vocal without the over the top part of the second half of that song. Hes also paying homage to philly soul...but the linn drum and hand claps gives it the Prince touch...and hes not trying 2 hard. Honestly it even could have been more polished...and perhaps the Price of Musicology and 3121 would have done so. Its really a strong song and is perfect the way it is....nice job P My goodness is this is not an RB smash they have just abandoned him completely [Edited 6/28/07 17:11pm] Dance... Let me see you dance

Man first Guitar and now this. This album keeps getting better and better. Pre-ordering this album was no mistake.
This makes 3121 seem about as exciting as a wooden plank (then again, thats not saying much).

I haven't heard it but I hope it sounds like old school Prince. Something needs to make up for the embarassing ghetto ass title of the song. I hope the lyrics are making fun of the tired bitches instead of fitting in and trying to join their slang. Andy is a four letter word.

Now that I think of it, its got a very serious vibe... Juxtapose that with the phrase " Future Baby Mama" and it sounds like a well done " Dick in a Box".
