Did iTunes Goof Reveal Prince As Secret Live Earth Performer?

So, the iTunes homepage is now featuring this nifty little Live Earth playlist “packed with a hot track from every artist on the bill” according to the accompanying blurb. In addition to songs from Madonna and the Chili Peppers, curiously, “Purple Rain” is track four. The funny part? Prince hasn’t been announced for the event. Our theory: Organizers have mistakenly leaked one of their “surprise headliners.” The singer, whose album Planet Earth comes out July 24, would add a little oomph to the New York lineup, which includes The Police and Kanye West, but kinda drops off after that.

My guess is that if this ends up being true that they will include his already scheduled performance as part of the live telecast. That's my guess.
