Who in the hell is "Brotha Maurice"? Yeah, I know, I'n curious about a lotta things from "The Black Album". What I'd really like to know, though, is what are the thoughts of the overall mystery with "The Black Album", you know? I'd just like to hear from the perspective of all of "The Black Album" observers and intellectualists. I mean, what the hell does squirrel meat have to do with anything "SIGNIFICANT"!?! What was up with the bevy of conversations that had segued into "2 Nigs United For West Compton"? Last, but not least, "What kind of "FUCK" ending was that"?

Yeah I've actually been wondering what the hell "Squirrel meat" is alluding to; and drinking the blood thereof real fast, with an aftertaste that lasts and lasts, and apparently makes you wanna party all night (should you kiss somebody that is).
I stand behind my theory that the song is drug induced I mean damn. I'd probably freak if I listened to that song on a trip. It's just got that sound to it.

I'd really like to hear some more opinions on this thing because it would be interesting. Oh, and by the way, for the two guys above, I appreciate your responses, no matter what they may imply. It's all goo as long as someone's got something to say. [Edited 6/27/07 6:35am]

Squirrel meat's been used in recipes for a long time. Maybe he's just talking about some good old fashioned soul food.
From Wikipedia: Until recent times, squirrel meat was considered a favored meat in certain regions of the United States where it can be listed as wild game. This is evidenced by extensive recipes for its preparation found in cookbooks including The Joy of Cooking. Squirrel meat can be exchanged for rabbit or chicken in recipes although squirrel meat is more tender than the latter. Its light red or pink flesh has only a slight game taste. In many areas of the U.S., particularly areas of the American South, squirrels are hunted for food.

i wonder if anyone here noticed that prince also writes a message about 'squiral meat' at the end of the 'sign o the times' concert movie in the credits.
as far as the black album is concerned, the album was rare when it was released and became a collecters item because of the small number of pressings of the album. "2 Nigs United in West Compton" is also featured on the extra CD of the 'one night alone' box set.
