ok, now this sounds to me like Sinead is feeling a little 'has been" and looking for a way to drum up interest in her. You know Prince is all over the London papers due to his upcoming concert.

First she said he kept her "captive". years later she says they came to physical blows.

Grow up. She didn't bring it up she was asked about .it and elaborated.

Why should she not say what happened; IT DID HAPPEN. Stop worshipping prince and realise the reality

Whenever I see Sinead on TV I feel like punching her myself. She is an awful singer with a chip on her shoulder. The shaved head is sooo not a good look. She should be grateful to Prince, Nothing compares to u made her a star. I prefer The Family's version.

I watched her interview on irish t.v and could totally tell due to her body language and subtle signs of feeling unnerved by it still after all these years. I have studied body language and I'M 100% certain she is telling the truth on AT LEAST being threatened; if Price actually beat her I DON'T KNOW and never previously heard it until recent paper interview. I wish she would clear it up and explain what happened rather than just say he was 'physically aggresive' then we can put it to rest.

why don't you quit sucking Sinead's dick (yeah, I said it!) and realize that the old girl is a has been, looking for some action. Too bad she bit the hand that fed her... Prince and the Pope.. now, the Christian folks don't want to have anything to do with her.. .and nor the fonky people who like fresh, funky music. Sinead should leave Hollywood alone, Hollywood left her alone, A LONG TIME AGO! confused

nod

I don't have a problem with someone spilling the beans on Prince... in fact I salivate thinking about Vanity/Denise's book finally getting publish. Just stick to the same story.
Next time the story is told, it will be Prince threw her down and sullied her innocence. confused

Lotta bootyscratchin' goin' on in here. I'm not trying to interfere, but on prodigalfan's behalf, he/she did happen to state that they actually love juicy details on behind-the-scenes scandals on "Prince" (Hence, being the reason why she can't wait until Denise Matthews' story gets published).

The problem is,this lady is so CRAZY that it's hard to know what to believe lol Back in those days, she was having problems with many celebrities. She would talk shit about someone and they would get pissed. She said some awful things about MC Hammer and he offered to buy her a plane ticket back to Ireland (or wherever she's from),lol. She even pissed off the legendary Frank Sinatra, who said "She deserves a good kick in the ass".

Great diagnosis there, Dr. Soul. smile

Sinéad isn't crazy, she just did some stupid shit when she was younger, and let's face it, who didn't ? The difference is we get to forget about the stupid shit we did because the world wasn't watching us do it, and we don't constantly get asked about it. I saw the same interview icke4presidant is talking about, and in that and every other occasion that she's talked about the Prince incident she didn't volunteer the information - she was asked about it by the interviewer, and she's always given the exact same details. But then, she is one of those rare people who, when asked a question by an interviewer, always answers them. Any embellishments to the story you've heard were invented by others.

The suggestion that she's playing on Prince's current media attention to get some of her own - I don't really think that's true - she's trying to get her own media attention because she has an album and tour to promote. So if she's out doing promotion and she's asked about the Prince incident, what's she supposed to do ? Refuse to answer ? Lie about it ? Or do what she's always done and give the same version of events she has always given. I can't know for sure that her version of events is the truth, but I do believe her to be a truthful person (far more so than Prince has shown himself to be), and I also think that her version of events is probably closer to the truth than anything Prince might say about it, were he to be asked, and deigned to answer.
Lemmy, Bowie, Prince, Leonard. RIP.

I have never said he was a saint. You are not a frequent visitor to associates/ex's forum. lol

But I don't see him going around embellishing stories with the rag magazines... CHANGING THE STORY AS TIME GOES ON!

disbelief

She needs to stop it, really. Trying writing a hit song to get some attention, instead of rehashing a 20 year old unsubstantiated gossip. Remember, there ARE 2 sides of this story.

Maybe what you are saying is true. I don't know... if I was trying a comeback attempt, I don't think I would rehash a 20 year old story. It to me reminds people that my relevance in the entertainment world is 20 years stale, and connected to some rag mag-like gossip. But then again, what other things are Sinead O'Connor known for.... singing a fabulous song written by Prince (did the best job on this song imo), being Irish, shaving her head, and ripping Pope's picture.
Really her legacy is a series of snapshots of rag mag-like gossip.

The best of her legacy... Nothing Compares 2 U, she tarnishes even THAT by tellling and retelling this gossipy story. And I seemed to remember reading that she said that he wanted to talk to her about the song, then kept her "captive" for a period of time, "terrorizing her" and pretty much yelling/cussing her out. Now the story is he actually laid his hands on her.
confused
Like I said, stick to the same story. Or hell, entertain us, come up with a brand new story...don't keep changing the story; don't insult the enquiring minds ( razz ) by acting like we don't have a memory... maybe she doesn't remember the interviews she gave in the late 80's/early 90's BUT I DO! and that is NOT how she told the story then.
