Printablefirst of all, in answer to the question-is prince evil? no! of course he isnt! good god has everyone flipped?!
i have just spent 20minutes reading through the most creepy and warped opinions and thoughts i think i have ever come across! this is not a nice thread and i dread to think how prince would react if he could see this..what is this about!?!? 1.the whole hearing messages when playing a prince record backwards 9times out of 10 are probably a part of the recording process in that some words sound different when played backwards-when said backward god is dog-does that mean god is a dog? i dont think so..! sure, he may have put in a few messages but not the nasty sounding ones, prince is not a part of the occult! 2.when i read peopel say prince has a weird aura or rtaher had-how would they know? surely an aura is to be felt in person! not over a photograph or what not! thats just ridiculous! prince is very sexual and very sexy too, alot of his apppeal is the way he presents himself-some people see it as weird, i see it as hot, if poeple arent used to somethign they will often see it as alien or evil..prince is BEAUTIFUL not creepy! and when talking of he having creepy eyes, it is beacuse they are deep, and they pierce rigth through you because he is strikingly good looking, not evil! equally, he is aperformer, he poses and taht is part of his general makeup! you want to see how unevil and friendly his eyes are go watch a documentry or interview thing where he laughs, genuinly laughs such as the rave extras.. and he has built a career on being eccentric! i am actually speechless at this ridiculous thread entertaining and intersting as theorys may be, i think this could become damaging to him if it continues and this should stop right now, imagine if a tabloid got a load of this they would have a field day! the bottom line is none of us know the real prince yo may read things but unless you knoe a person you do not know them never judge a book by its cover he is not a shapeshifter he is reinventin himself just like madonna!!!! he is n ot a satanist, he would have just come out with it by now! the devil is not workign through him he is seriously good looking and he is thw emost fantastic musician of our times and in the world. he was young and experimenting in the 80s, not with evil but with images, he needed to be weird wonderful and mysterious!! to keep hip and intersting! it worked didnt it! most of what you are discussing is simply his marketing over the years! and an individuals challenge to find god and who they are. this is very disrespectful, and very very stupid. so stop this scare mongering! you are whipping yourselves up into a frenzy over a stupid stupid idea this is ridiculous. totally ridiculous, PRINCE IS NOT EVIL! i cant believe i am writing this! end of. and to all you who have been taken in by these ideas, please dont be, dont lose your love for prince over half baked ideas and theorys. we all love prince, that is why we are here. anf think about it, if he was evil, believe me we would know by now! he is enigmatic he isnt part of the ridiculous warts and all mtv generation he is private and that is that, the 'unknown' or so to speak are often seen as creepy. I was at an after show very close 2 the front of a 200 strong crowd when a girl who was there with her brother/bf whatever slipped and fell under the crowd. The gap where she stood (not far from me at all) was filled almost instantaneously under the pressure of the crowd, and her male companion became quite distressed when she couldn't get up and appeared 2 b in some serious strife. He was yelling and motioning 2 Prince and his bodyguard 4 help and 2 'stop the show' ,in tears by that stage. I was somewhere in between this occurrence and the bodyguard (1 of the biggest human beings I'd ever seen) and saw the bodyguard look at the guy, then look at Prince, and smirk as he remained planted in his position, arms folded with that dirty ol' grin on his face. I thought that was pretty evil.
In answer 2 the above post in red, 'evil' is a matter of opinion, and if u think Princes antics and material over the years, and MTV in general, has done nothing in the way of corrupting people, impressionable teens in particular, imo ur sadly mistaken. There is an old saying, "What you see in someone else, is what you yourself contain." I've always just gotten a very loving and compassionate vibe from Prince when I've seen him in concert and even at the Celebration. Prince is someone who lives in the moment. Each moment is new to him and what may have moved him 3 minutes ago, may not be what moves him now. (Thus why he seems to change his mind so often. Something feels right to him at this moment, but may not feel right to him tomorrow and therefore he goes onto something different.) Living in this manner often feels strange to other people who often believe that each moment must be planned out months in advance and they cling to that plan, because it gives them some semblance of security by doing so. From what I've witnessed of Prince, he doesn't plan in advance, and if he does plan in advance, he doesn't cling to those plans, thereby leaving life open to new and different choices.  Just my take on what I've observed. But he's not evil. His vibe, is very peaceful to me. | |

But when I come in here to the Org, when I attend a Prince concert and when I listen to Prince's music; I always feel good vibes emanating from him. It seems to me that some people that say that Prince is evil are struggling with the fact that they like him, but also they think that Prince shouldn't have a dark side too. i have just spent 20minutes reading through the most creepy and warped opinions and thoughts i think i have ever come across! this is not a nice thread and i dread to think how prince would react if he could see this..what is this about!?!? 1.the whole hearing messages when playing a prince record backwards 9times out of 10 are probably a part of the recording process in that some words sound different when played backwards-when said backward god is dog-does that mean god is a dog? i dont think so..! sure, he may have put in a few messages but not the nasty sounding ones, prince is not a part of the occult! 2.when i read peopel say prince has a weird aura or rtaher had-how would they know? surely an aura is to be felt in person! not over a photograph or what not! thats just ridiculous! prince is very sexual and very sexy too, alot of his apppeal is the way he presents himself-some people see it as weird, i see it as hot, if poeple arent used to somethign they will often see it as alien or evil..prince is BEAUTIFUL not creepy! and when talking of he having creepy eyes, it is beacuse they are deep, and they pierce rigth through you because he is strikingly good looking, not evil! equally, he is aperformer, he poses and taht is part of his general makeup! you want to see how unevil and friendly his eyes are go watch a documentry or interview thing where he laughs, genuinly laughs such as the rave extras.. and he has built a career on being eccentric! i am actually speechless at this ridiculous thread entertaining and intersting as theorys may be, i think this could become damaging to him if it continues and this should stop right now, imagine if a tabloid got a load of this they would have a field day! the bottom line is none of us know the real prince yo may read things but unless you knoe a person you do not know them never judge a book by its cover he is not a shapeshifter he is reinventin himself just like madonna!!!! he is n ot a satanist, he would have just come out with it by now! the devil is not workign through him he is seriously good looking and he is thw emost fantastic musician of our times and in the world. he was young and experimenting in the 80s, not with evil but with images, he needed to be weird wonderful and mysterious!! to keep hip and intersting! it worked didnt it! most of what you are discussing is simply his marketing over the years! and an individuals challenge to find god and who they are. this is very disrespectful, and very very stupid. so stop this scare mongering! you are whipping yourselves up into a frenzy over a stupid stupid idea this is ridiculous. totally ridiculous, PRINCE IS NOT EVIL! i cant believe i am writing this! end of. and to all you who have been taken in by these ideas, please dont be, dont lose your love for prince over half baked ideas and theorys. we all love prince, that is why we are here. anf think about it, if he was evil, believe me we would know by now! he is enigmatic he isnt part of the ridiculous warts and all mtv generation he is private and that is that, the 'unknown' or so to speak are often seen as creepy. I believe we can prove Prince is evil through a simple mathematical formula.
Take Prince as "p" and evil as "e" Furthermore, take Prince's good deeds as being inversely proportional to Prince's evil deeds. If evil deeds are "k" good deeds are thus "1/k" Therefore: p = 1/k(e^kp) If we differentiate this to work our the rate of evil/good that Prince is performing at any one time we get the following: dp/de = pe^kp We can also assume that Prince is only ever one entity, as he is only one person. Thus p=1 Therefore the differential equation becomes: dp/de = e^k Thus "1/k" and, therefore, good deeds, have been removed from the equation. Thus, Prince is only ever performing evil at any one time, therefore Prince can only ever be evil. So does anyone want to post a backwards sound sample from any of these songs ( other than darling nikki which we've all heard ) where Prince is saying "evil things " so we have more to go on that just the opinions of a few people , or even show an example of how the Purple Rain album cover upside down " looks like the devil " , the 2nd one should be easy...Check out Chocadelica , updated with Lotusflow3r and MPLSound album lyrics April 2nd 2009 :
