altho Grafitti bridge has some parts that make me laugh and laugh...for my own reasons lol

Although, I love the music in GB. It would have been better to release it as a Music Video Movie like SOTT. There really is no plot whatsoever.

Both of these movies each has its own unique set of flaws. But if these were the only 2 movies available on the shelf at Blockbuster Video and I had to choose one, I'd pick Graffiti Bridge.

The musical numbers and the way Prince looked in GB with his hair and costumes makes it worthwhile for a Prince fan.

Under The Cherry Moon, because there are actually scenes that weren't filmed on a sound stage. Graffiti Bridge is way too claustrophobic.

C'mon Now y'all...Under The Cherry Moon is far superior to Graffiti Bridge...Cherry Moon is some funny shit! Graffiti Bridge is funny too, but sadly it is unintentionally funny. Cherry Moon is a great satire on 40's and 50's films. Plus the music's better!

UTCM is better, but I like GB more, because of it's performances. (Well, lip synched).
Live or actual mics would have made it better and less dancing in the streets.

Regardless, they are both good indications that Prince should not write and direct his own movies.

Under The Cherry Moon like how the movie takes place in France done in black and white like a old fashion movie from the 1940s. The music was better the story script much better of Christopher at the end find love from Mary, but got killed over her father hate his guts over being a gigglo. Prince and Tricky were a good team in UTCM their lines toward eachother more funny than the ones from Graffiti Bridge. GB was just a countine of Purple Rain 10 years later with Tricky and Prince being enemies over Morris Day wanting to have control over the Glam Slam.

UTCM- Prince's new look, the black and white thing and France help to make the album what it is. I kinda like it.

IMO, there is no comparison. I can't even sit thru Grafiti Bridge anymore. Even the performaces seem stale to me now. UTCM has some funny moments and Prince looks absolutely amazing...

Does anyone else think that Prince looks pasty and ill in Graffiti Bridge?

I like Under the Cherry Moon more than Purple Rain.
