The only problem i hav with the album is that stupid BLOODY ROBOT WOMAN(NPG OPERATOR) introcucing the SONGS and I hate the way she speaks near the end of gold. I think this will date the album years before it should.
Also i think the version of TMBGIW is not as good as the 1 on the beautiful experience ep

That's my least favorite, too.

Are you crazy, Gold is my favorite song on this CD and even one of my faves in the whole Prince catalog. We march is the song I like least on this album, together with Billy Jack Bitch.

The Most Beautiful Girl in the World ....
Ha Ha ... just kidding.
I like how no one listed that song, because it proves what a truly amazing and universally liked song it is (at least here).
I'm thinking Gold, Dolphin, We March and 319 are kind of filler-ish.
P Control, Billy Jack B, The Most Beautiful Girl in the World, Now, and I Hate U are some of my favorite Prince songs.

Pretty much the entire album blows...319 is the only high point for me. One of his worst albums and continued in the same vein of awfulness as The Symbol album. Unfortunately I was working for him during this dreck....

I never understood the admiration for this album. Firstly he chucked on a different and weaker version of 'Now ', added some bad extra production to TMBGITW and decided not to include Days of Wild!
However much i tried to give it a chance i knew in my heart it was a hollow and lazy record and the best example of this is 'We March'.

I like the album for the most part, but it does sounds like he spent too much time on it....tinkering with certain songs, removing really good songs from it,and over-producing a few tracks. This album was complete and ready to go in the spring of 1994.By the time it was released in fall 1995,it wasn't quite the same album anymore.

when would you have rather worked for him?

I personally like listening to 319, I Hate U (it's supposed to be schlocky over the top) and Now, and Dolphin.

I don't really wanna listen to We March.

Without a doubt, it's We March. It's not a bad song but it doesn't fit with the rest of the album. I almost always skip it.
I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

Skip it, always. Why he put that on instead of Days Of Wild is beyond me.

Wonderwall

my fave album of the 90s and close to my top 5 from Prince, this album made me a fan again back in 95.

The only thing I really don't like are the segues. Not too crazy about Most Beautiful Girl but certainly don't hate it.

Seriously gotta question those of you sayin Gold, Billy Jack Bitch, or Shy...whatcha all smokin??!!...and did someone actually say Shhh??...damn get those ears checked out FAST!
