its a fucking terrible way to start off this album.. im uninspired just hearing it. i disagree. Starting 3121 with that Te Amo song was terrible. Now you have a great rock song with really nice guitar work, especially towards the end of the song. The new version is tons better than the original, but its cool to have both versions. The new version is way better. It's still a stupid song. But the fact that it actually rocks out with some guitar makes it a lot more fun to listen to than that crap version he put out first. Great single for summer. Not that you'll actually hear it, but it's the thought that counts. I really don't like this song at all. Dull and uninspired. Prince does Nickelback.
Really, I don't want to be the Prince fan who always has something bad to say. But, I praise him a lot on these boards and this is just my honest opinon. I'm happy that a lot of you enjoy it, because you're getting more Prince songs that you like. | |

It is a LAZY song , musically and especially lyrically. Serious going through the motions on this one! Dreadful rhyming couplets. How many words can he rhyme with the word guitar, car, far, star..... |

I gotta say it again. I prefer the original version.
The new one is nice, but a little 2 simple, and by that I don't mean minimalistic, which I can dig. The original version is sonically more interesting... the slightly "ATWIAD" sounding synth sounds, the quirky Bass Guitar part, the drum programming, and the panning effect on the voice.
