"42,000 ft above the sea" responding to another thread, i started wondering what exactly this line from Te Amo Corazon means when sings: at 42,000 ft above the sea that's where u and eye 1st came 2 b from the dust of the earth and the knowledge tree ok, so 42,000 ft above the earth, is that beyond the atmosphere? is that considered space yet? and how did 'they come 2 b' from the dust of the earth and that of the knowledge tree -at such height. does that mean some sort of explosion or impact -like a meteor? getting awfull close to the theory of transpermia there for an avid jw follower, no? or is it simply a well known biblical reference that i am not in the loop of? and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

They were shagging on a plane i knew someone would say that but i don't think he would couple the mile high experience to a reference of stemming, or being born from/off the earth dust and the knowledge tree to something like that. not these days. and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

he nailed a stewardess!
no deep biblical meaning, they either "met" and/or first "knew" each other on a plane

yea i think they "came to be" on a plane and then he was taking it further by saying that they ACTUALLY came to be "from the dust of the earth and the knowledge tree." making the experience on the plane seem a little deeper?

You guys just love analyzing these songs to death.
Like you want to know what every little thing means and what he meant when he wrote it. Yeah, I'm that kind of person myself... but with Te Amo Corazon, I take everything as it is. The first verse is just something very spiritual... more or less, they're a match made in heaven by God. That's all I can say. I love the song, so I try not to dig into it too much. At least not when I'm not currently listening to it. The same goes with any of his songs that I hold kinda close. If it says something while I'm listening to it, I take that into account... otherwise, I just take things as they are. had 2 run away... pride was 2 strong. It started raining, baby, the birds were gone

Its just about creation, connecting Prince and the love interest in the song to Adam and Eve.
42,000 ft above the sea - Heaven, Space, with God. Dust of the earth - man was created from the dust of the earth, Adam and Eve. The Knowledge Tree - Eden, Original Sin, etc. I guess an ultimate beginning of them, of love, and specicifically their love. It makes it, their love and relationship eternal.
