That concert was my first trip to Mn.When I went up to the merchandise counter and saw that picture, I couldn't believe that was a new pose.I thought it was taken back in the 80's, until I saw the bottle. The last time I saw Prince before this he had the Jam of the year look and this is what I expected at the show. This was a wonderful day that I will never forget, and I met Lady Cab Driver!

For those who went, tell me more about this show. What year was this? What did he play? Was it a music festival or just a show for him? SPILL, people!

It was a music festival that was put on in downtown Minneapolis showcasing local bands and some national groups. It was right after the Rave Un2 album came out.
There were buttloads of local bands playing on several stages within a few block radius, over a long weekend.

The Time was playing on a seperate stage than Prince and they finished their set at the same time that Larry Graham took the stage to open for Prince. Needless to say there was a mad dash over to the "big" stage to catch that show.

There was an NPG booth selling Videos and other merch.
When you walked into the area, you were given a promo cassingle of "The Holy River" with the song "welcome 2 The Dawn" acoustic (...from the 4coming album "The Dawn")

Prince played some stuff off of Rave and jammed with Larry. Great shows by the Time and Prince. I'm glad that I was there and somewhat sober. "Pretty Man" was the highlight for me.

They don't put on Mill City anymore. Many of the bands did not get paid after it was over. Prince was paid up-front though. Not as bad a businessman as others might have you think...

There are bootlegs of this show. Audience recordings.
