They are supposed to be worn like that, with those white socks. Now, I ´m not a 100% sure about the name, since "tabis" can also be those shoes that the Ninjas used to wear ( with that split thing between the toes) but Prince is definitely wearing them correctly and is not breaking the flip flop etiquette. That picture with the real flip flops and socks looks stupid though. And no , it is not fashionable to wear socks with flip flops, neither in Europe, nor anywhere else. Remember that line from 3121 "...take your pick from the Japanese robes and sandals..." They are Japanese "sandals", not flip flops. Like the stuff that Geishas wear. I remember doing the socks and flip flop thing as a child but I seem to recall the pain of the stretched sock between my toes. Maybe I should go and give it another try see how uncomfortable it is.... perhaps not.
I hope P has special socks to emilinate any toe chaffing. Just go barefoot much comfier oh mama I wish I could resist ... | |
