They are supposed to be worn like that, with those white socks. Now, I ´m not a 100% sure about the name, since "tabis" can also be those shoes that the Ninjas used to wear ( with that split thing between the toes) but Prince is definitely wearing them correctly and is not breaking the flip flop etiquette. That picture with the real flip flops and socks looks stupid though. And no , it is not fashionable to wear socks with flip flops, neither in Europe, nor anywhere else. Remember that line from 3121 "...take your pick from the Japanese robes and sandals..." They are Japanese "sandals", not flip flops. Like the stuff that Geishas wear. What makes me wonder a little: is he alone on his way nowadays. I mean, ok - he is a human being like we all, but with a little more money and a little more fame. Isn't it kind of dangerous to be prince and be all alone on an airport!
When I last saw him in Berlin the bodyguards didn't even let him out of the tour bus because we have been appr. 100 m away with a camera in our hand. So they waited till we left to let him out. greats netzverWalter [Edited 6/19/07 7:32am] | |
