survey concert tour Hucky's site made me think of this question
Which concert tour do you think is the best (so far) and why? "Remember, one man's filler is another man's killer" -- Haystack

Okay
I will go first. I have seen 2 different concert tours... 1999 (controversy) tour and Musicology. I think 1999 was better because he also had the Time with him. It just seemed more of like a big family with Prince and the Revolution, and the Time. The members of the Revolution were not anonymous as the members of more recent npg band. and then The Time. It was like something for everyone. Personally I went to see The Time... fell in love with Andre Cymone. Musicology was a great show, probably better musically. But 1999 to me was better "Remember, one man's filler is another man's killer" -- Haystack

I picked 1999, was surprised that Lovesexy came in first. I don't know anything about that era really or the concert. what made that concert so special.... or which ever concert was your favorite.... and why "Remember, one man's filler is another man's killer" -- Haystack

I have to say lovesexy I waz only 15 years old..
the stage show was so amazing to me at the time. The light went out...the stage coverd with Smoke.... The Beat was thumping.. And the 67 thunderbird drove around the stage Sheila,Cat,Prince come out arm in arm And the beat turnd in to Erotic City (just reading this still gives me goose bumps) When he played Head.. He placed the mic between his legs as Cat sang her vocals The Bed poped up on stage Then prince , cat romped around Bob George Dressed in a pin stripe gangster suit, hat With his prop tommy gun as he gun downs Cat So much more.. i will never 4get this show [Edited 6/17/07 1:17am]

Yeah, I saw a little ad libbing in Musicology, it did add an extra something to the show. That show does sound awesome. They actually drove the T bird onto the stage? Cat sang Lisa's part? I thought I saw Prince at his best. I am not so sure... Lovesexy does sound like a show to never be forgotten "Remember, one man's filler is another man's killer" -- Haystack

Lovesexy was in the round. And the car was able to go around the whole stange.
During the Bob George per4mance the thunderbird reapeard as a police car. With Red and blue ligts flashing There was a hydrolic lift under the car....with all the smoke it appeard to float around the stage in mid air Yes Cat did Lisa's part...there were no members of the Revolution in the band at the time .. Stage notes: There was a swing set on stage and Basket ballhoop/net the center of the stage had a heart shape that was able to raise under, above. i think it raised 10-15 above. There was a lovesexy VHS, Laserdisc..of one of this shows...its out of prinnt.. If your lucky..u might be able to find it

I was wondering, is it possible to get that concert (Lovesexy) on DVD now? I have it on video and they are pretty old at this stage. That has to be the best tour bar none, and I am comparing it to any other artist I have seen live..

favorite tour by far
the gold experience/love experience tour ..because it was all new music! and if u didn't like it, he didn't give a damn! ONA tour-..soundcheck/main show/aftershow..what a rush! it was a tour just 4 the die hards..bring it again man!!! lovesexy- the spirtual aspect of the show man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81
