i'd mentioned i found Crystal Ball used a few months ago (it came out at a time when i wasn't checkin' for P anymore). i listened to it on a road trip to Chicago and was underwhelmed. well, i finally listened to The Truth disc and i must say i see myself listening to that more than CB itself. Don't Play Me, Fascination, Circle of Amour and some others are intersting, different, quirky, and unique.

the disc also has some of P's best vocal work. I guess acoustic makes one pay more attention to vox perhaps. But just had to say, after months of sitting on the disc, i like it. perhaps the best of my recent acquisitions from that period of respite (C&D, 800NewFunk, Vault, CB, Emancipation)
