One of my favorites too. The spoken part in the beginning reminds me of Prince in "Christopher Tracy" mode for some reason. The backgrounds on the chorus remind me of Larry Graham, and I mean that in a good way.

it's released on mavis staple's album "time waits 4 no one". prince's
version of it, in demo format was on a configuration of Dream Factory
and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

I heard hers sucks to the highest level of sucktivity...
My brother said I really shouldn't listen to it cuz it freakin ruins the song. He also said that she should definitly be slapped for making it neutral
