Michael B. used to be my favorite. Until I realized it was just the thrill of hearing someone beat the living shit out of the skins, rather than actual drumming skill. That's good for what it is, but it doesn't take you (or the music) very far. And you'll notice, a lot of Michael B's drumming on record was sampled.

Honestly, Michael B. was hands down the best drummer Prince has ever and will have. Powerful, dynamic, passionate. Michael Bland has my vote all the way.
