I'll start off with 5 of my favorites... Sexy Dancer Head Let's Work Lady Cab Driver DMSR I think I would like to add "Billy Jack Bitch" to that list. You might disagree, but it's the last "TRUE" funkiest of the funky songs he has created over the years, to me. "3121" is close. Hell, they might even be equal, though. I can't decide, but I like "BJB" the better of the two. [Edited 7/27/07 17:09pm]

Ding, ding, ding, we have a winner! You know what.....I think I actually agree with you, then. But, let's look at this era, shall we. I mean, it's quite difficult to make a classic out of anything when there ain't a musical "BOOM" in the first place. Let's face it, the "2000's" is "VERY" hard to set a memorable path in. I ain't heard a true "CLASSIC" by "ANYONE" since somewhere in between "2000-2001". Not to mention, "Prince" isn't "HUNGRY" anymore. But, let's be honest. "Pepto Bismol" couldn't stop this man's diahrrea-ic artisitic rollercoaster ride he had going on in "1986". Everybody around him could have tried to distract him with their issues, but he was really in tune with music and the outlet that his mind so demanded of him. Pure genius, I tell you! [Edited 7/27/07 17:40pm] Once again, let's put it all into perspective. Prince is now 50 years old. There is no way he is going to create the same style of cutting edge, brilliant music that he did in his peak. With that being said, what he is producing now is pretty damn good stuff. Open your mind people and let go of the past just a little! He is exactly who we thought he was

Open your mind people and let go of the past just a little! Either way you see it, man. He still isn't "HUNGRY" like he was back then. I am not saying what he currently releases is not good. I'm saying that none of it rivals with what he did, back then. That is nothing but the "TRUTH" (Though, served as an "OPINION", but you and I would be hard-pressed to find anyone who would disagree, so majority rules, here.). I also don't really expect much out of him, now because he has made his mark. If he recorded any of those "CLASSIC" songs, today, they probably wouldn't have even gotten airplay. Notice the difference of the overall productivity of today's artist's with those of "The Sixties, Seventies, and Eighties"? Also, all of the groundbreaking has been delivered into the universe. I couldn't possibly see what and/or who could record a masterpiece that would make much of a difference in this decade. Hell, for the rest of our days of living, as far as I'm concerned. Man, I'm nostalgic just by view and listening of those better days. Sucks being stuck here. ![]()

![]() Thanks for getting back on topic.Come On is a jam as well as one of my favorites off of Newpowersoul but I think Days of Wild and Hide the Bone are even more fierce if you wanna get more of that "recent" funk so to speak.

Let's Work is on disc 2 of Ultimate Prince. I highly recommend buying it for disc 2 alone; which contains only extended versions, several that were previously only officially released on vinyl.
