It did get some air play in some markets but that was it which is why it is on the HITS collection (IIRC). | |

Nope it wasn't released as a single. It was all over R&B radio stations. It ended up on well whatdya know The Hits 1! It is still considered a classic without ever being released. | |

It was a hit. It just wasn't a single. Any type of single at all. Not even a promo, oddly enough.
