New Info on Planet Earth Packaging This is badly translated French, but it's still NEW info/details
"Album with Columbia "Planet Earth", send the weight with a 1st entitled single "Guitar". The album is in format digipack 4 shutters with a hologram on the envelope. A digital booklet!! No name of artist, album title, texts credits do not appear on the envelope. The album contains a link internet that will allow attaining all these infos." That's what they meant when they hinted that it would be like a mix between "The Black Album" and "Diamonds and Pearls" No text on the album cover... no booklet... just a link to a website? Is this another Crystal Ball type deal with an interactive website? Are we right about different tracklists in different areas? That way they don't have to change the packaging much, just the link to the website with the correct tracklist... sounds like a cross between 'crystal ball' and its online booklet and NIN's 'with teeth' online liner notes. interesting, but kinda annoying cuz yeah, i like to read liner notes on the john. 
also though, i know that the band the residents released a blank CD a year or two back, with a certificate to buy the content and download it online as it became available, then burn it all to the provided blank CD (or maybe that CD acted as a "key" to the content, i forget)...certainly prince isn't being THAT crafty, is he?  | |
