with his last two albums selling close to 200,000 copies in their first week on release in the us and the indication that he would be around those figures again with the upcoming ' planet earth ' album ....prince looks to have a great chance of another number one album in america...unless there is a hot artist releasing an album in the same week then i dont see anything to stop him....

to be hitting No 1 30 years in , in today's R&B hIP Hop driven market with no airplay is an achievement

to be selling out arenas for nights on end 30 years in , is an achievemnet

to be able to call the shots at high profile events, awards, TV Spots 30 years in is an achievment.

to be written off time and again and to bounce back time and again is an achievment.

to build up a huge and varied body of work [love it or hate it] is an achievement.

the list goes on. If Earth doesn't get to number 1 it won't matter at all, his work is pretty much done, everything else now is just a bonus.
