Children’s moments when listening or watching Prince.

The most beautiful girl in the world was on VH1 today my granddaughter stood watching it with a huge smile on her face going aww and dancing when Prince’s face came up at the end she gave the TV a strawberry jam kiss and said ta. I swear she thought Prince was telling her she was beautiful and the kiss was a thanku giggle

That is so cute! I don't have kids, but my 10 year old cousin always covers his eyes during the part where Prince rips open his shirt in the video for Alphabet St. lol

My son just turned 1yr on June 7th wink
When I put on the DVD of "One Night Alone" show. He gets so excited and just drums his hands and dances for the entire show. It comes in handy when I need to clean because it is the only thing he will watch on TV at this point... it also entertains all of my other children!
I will have to get the baby on video now that I think about it.

I was watching Ne-Yo's Top 25 and when Diamonds and Pearls came on, my 9 year old neice came into the room and said "Ugh what is he wearing?!"

I said,"Be quiet, I'm watching a master at work" lol

When Prince was on the "American Idol" finale last year, my little cousin asked, "Who is that? Is that Michael Jackson's wife?" confused

I was dancing around to my 3121 CD...and my daughter came in when The Word came on...She paused and said 'hmm haven't heard this before, nice beat.' She also watched the Beautiful Ones video and particularly liked the part when he opens his shirt to the point where she wanted to imitate it. eek I haven't let her see it again for awhile...

i was reading a parenting magazine @ the doctor's office yesterday(the only kind of magazine there). in it, there was a question of "How do you put a cranky infant to sleep?" (somethin like that) and one reply was that a woman's husband sang TMBGITW to his daughter when she couldn't sleep, and it became their song they listen to together. I thought it was so cute, and i thought of this thread when I read it. The woman also wrote that the husband has a "special song" for each of his kids (they have 3) that becomes their song.

I have so many child moments. My son loves Prince, he is 3 yrs old. The latest one is "Daddy play Row your boat" so I told him oh thats in Mommy's car (cause I figured she listens to all the kiddy music)

So the next day in my truck, Get on the Boat comes on and he say "See Daddy you have it, Row Your Boat, People!!" I had to set him straight.

For some ODD REASON, he always has to hear 3121 first, then Get on the Boat, IN THAT PARTICULAR ORDER!!!!

And I cant tell you HOW MANY TIMES A DAY, I hear "Your a VIP, at least to me....he sings the entire 1st verse, chorus and FELLAS how bad is that girl part"

At least when Planet Earth drops, he has to learn some NEW SONGS
