I just realized while lisning to joint 2 joint/the holy river that the phone conversation in between the two has Prince once again taking refuge in the back of a cab : Annie Christian; Lady Cab Driver.

Think this was a deliberate return to that theme or am I reading too much into it.

What did everyon think of the taxi cab idea in the first place.

The Lady cab driver never collected her fares. I remember the poem well. Each fare gets in the back of the cab only to blame her for all the woes of the world. And Prince is the same. He blames everyone else for his mess ups. But likes to think that its not him. It is not whether alls fair in love and war. Nothing is fair when you refuse to pay the cost of the Fare. A play on words. Over your heads. May it be I am not crazy nor is He. You all just don't get it As Gianni Versace would say at a moment like this...
