This is what was post on Google about 3 hours ago:

O'Connor's Fight with Prince
Irish singer Sinead O'Connor came to blows with Prince after he objected to her covering his song "Nothing Compares 2 U."

The "Purple Rain" hitmaker wrote the song in 1984 for the funk band The Family, but it was only until O'Conner's 1990 version that the track became an international success.

However, Prince was not happy she had covered the song as he had planned to give it to another female singer -- and their meeting to discuss the matter did not go as planned.

O'Connor tells the London Mirror, "At the time he had a lot of female proteges, and I had covered his song without having anything to do with him.

"He invited me to his house in Los Angeles and started to give out to me for swearing in interviews. When I told him to go [bleep] himself he got very upset and became quite threatening, physically. I ended up having to escape."

I don't really buy it because the man sounds pretty peaceful. Hasn't he even referenced in songs that he's not a person of war/violence?

Maybe she just wants another shot at a cover?

Being a musical genius doesnt mean you are a nice person also, i mean: look at James Brown, Miles Davis or Phil Spector.
