Prince on Oprah Again? Love her or hate her, Oprah got the best televised interview ever out of Prince. Ten years later, people still talk about it and all the stuff Prince revealed and didn't (the female living inside him, the birth of his child, his relationship with Mayte). I hope he goes on again to promote Planet Earth; she seems able to turn an interview with him into a more exciting experience than most other interviewers.

she may have gotten the longest interview full of bullshit ... but not the best interview .
my vote: chris rock . he made Prince show his humor. The story about MJ and "bad" was priceless...

But I couldn't take it seriously; every time the camera flashed on Chris it looked like he was making one of his comedy faces. He just naturally has that funny look when he's trying to look all serious. It kept cracking me up and distracting me.

I could care less to be honest.
Oprah looked like she was cringing through out the whole interview(her facial during the 'Do Me Baby' per4mance was priceless ). But promotional-wise, it would be good for his next album.

Oprah is a faker, I hate when she pretends to sing along, and is way off...it's like a bad chinese movie with subtitles.

^LOL yeah, she can be really fake. I enjoyed the interview she did with him. I think a new one could help promote the new record but, what would she ask him? I rather see him do a more relaxed interview with some like Ellen, or someone whos actually into his music. Did you order a pizza ma'am? Prince- UTCM

Yeah, Ellen is def cool peoples. I could see him doing a one-on-one hour long with her. But after that "Bambi" stunt he pulled in there,,,I doubt it

Since she hasn't had him on for over 10 years....I get the feeling that maybe she doesn't really care for him all that much. She is probably mad that he lied to her about the baby so she probably will not have him on again. She would have to ask him too many personal questions leading back to the last interview in '96.

I don't think Oprah wants to interview him again. I don't think she's much of a fan. Ellen on the other hand, seemed a bit more interested and informed abt his music. When watching the oprah interview, I got the feeling that she read stuff abt him the night b4 and memorized everything she did. "So shall it be written, so shall it be sung..."

I thought she seemed like a fan. Even if she had just memorized that stuff, she had him for an extended interview and asked him plenty of pertinent questions--and his reactions to those questions were interesting. I'm not a big fan of Oprah's or anything; I just think that interview brought a lot of things out of him, even when he was being evasive. But I loved the Ellen interview too (the musical performances were awesome).

My favorite part of that interview was them sitting at his piano!! god, I melted...when he was asked what his first song he learned on the piano was..and he plays the batman theme!

I enjoyed certain aspects of it, but what would he talk about now, Jehovah and the bible? Plus Oprah doesn't like people who lie on her show and Prince and Mayte lied about their baby, they knew he was dead.

I know, but seriously was it anybody's business about the baby. They wanted to grieve without hearing about it. They were both pretty much in shock when the whole thing happened. They didn't know the baby was going to have problems until it was born.

They didn't know the baby was going to have problems until it was born. I think most of all that part showed that Prince will never open up in an interview about something so personal. There are other celebrities who will be completely frank about their pains and sorrows, but Prince will always present an image and a facade to the world.

I think she is a fan. She seemed pretty entertained at the NAACP awards when P performed in 2005.

I think Op is a fan too, but I have to wonder if she will ever have him back because she's not into doing a show full of lies. I'm sure she wouldn't know what to believe and what not to believe. He shouldn't have gone on that show. It was terrible and I felt horrible for Mayte. The Chris Rock one was great and so was Tavis years back. As far as Ellen goes, I wouldn't want him to do an extended interview with her. I don't dislike her or anything, but I find her to be too much of a joker. I'd like to see a real interview not a bunch of silly jokes and that's what I think we would see on Ellen. Just my opinion.

As I made up a tread not to long ago. I would much rather see him on Tyra. Tyra's audience attracts younger viewers. Plus she's the new Oprah now.
