What's Changed Since the Superbowl

It has been speculated that Prince was ready to go with an album soon after the

Superbowl, but aborted or postponed that project. If this is true, that what

has changed in these few months? Was the timing not right for him to release a

cd at the time? Or did he decide to record some new tracks, or did he indeed

record a completely new album?

I think you've answered your own question there,
when you said that it was speculated that the CD
would be released to coincide with the superbowl show.

When I said speculation, I just didn't want to come out and say that insiders said that he was ready to go with a project at that time, and for some reason pulled the plug.

falloff

i got my computer back boxed
bloody thing, died on me the DAY B 4 superbowl mad

oh, we're talking about Prince.
I'm glad in a way the "speculated" album didnt eventuate at the time.

its given him a bit more time to re-build his profile in the public arena.
he is always visible 2 fans/fams-but not 2 the average, music buying punter.
Its these that r needed 2 make a cd commercially successful- fans/fams will buy anything, but not the 'guy in the street'

If it had been ready 4 release it would have looked like he was trying 2 cash in on the back of the superbowl-IMHO
- thats what i would think if any one did a huge-worldwide apperance and suddenly released new material.

Prince is waaaaay 2 cool 4 that 2 happen- he is a legend, he deserved his time 2 shine without all that shit

besides, it makes this time, leading up 2 the single/album release all that more exciting excited
seems that i was busy doing something close to nothing, but different than the day before music beret

I don't remember any insiders saying that... only fans making educated guesses.

Perhaps I confused the two on this one. I still remember someone that I

consider a reliable source saying that he was ready to go with something in

March. And I don't mean Greycap (no disrespect). In any case, in the end, I'm

happy that he waited. The timing just seems to be sooooo right at this time.
