Yeah it is the wait and see game.

Well, the album is already 20 yrs old. The film next year.

I got the album 20 years ago. We are talking about DVD and the special features it offers today. I know I'll pick it up soon because I have just about everything from him, who knows the 25th anniversary will have all this bonus stuff.

Becoming aware of the lipsynching spoilt it I feel. They should of waited and recorded a live concert as it would be awesome.

I don't understand why the dvd is only officail in Canada but not here in America.I'm hoping for a domestic release someday and I'm still keeping my fingers crossed that it will be a Special Edition release.I'm thinking of bonus content with deleted, unseen footage, interviews with the people involved(I'll doubt that Prince himself will talk) and the trailer. It truly deserves that kind of treatment. It's the greatest concert movie along with a few great ones whose names would be too much to mention.Peace!

Can someone tell me if the sound quality is good. I have a UK release, but the 5.1 is absolute shit, as is the sound in general in my oppinion, concidering it's supposed to be remastered. and yes, it is an official release. cool

ANYONE, I am I the only person who thinks the sound quality is terrible, considering it's been remastered? 5.1 just aint worthy, especially when compared to other music dvds.

My fave quotes:

"What is that?
It's a sticky, hot thang!"

"Does anybody know about the Quake? BULLSH!T." eek

Also I love the funny faces Prince makes,
And when him & Cat were humping opposite sides of the wall. lol

The acting in-between performances was cool! cool

Apparently, the Canadian version is the only one that has been properly converted from the original masters, so the UK version aint worth a wank, cos it's basically transfered from video, although it states 'remastered', the sound quality really aint that great, and is more noticable on a 'cinema' system.

Just saying

don't think they were all lipsynched. a lot of footage was shot at the live shows in Ahoy' Rotterdam.

I think Eric Leeds has stated that only 20% of the film is footage from the Rotterdam gig...

Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it.

Yes! highfive Forever In My Life kicks major ass. Love everything about it--from the guitar he uses to the way the band comes down and gets all gospel with it. cloud9

But I can't believe no one has mentioned my second fave part: Prince's drum playing during It's Gonna Be a Beautiful Night (while Sheila is doing the Table & Chair rap). headbang

My #3 fave moment is when Prince does the Detroit Crawl during Housequake. biggrin

And definitely order it from Canadian amazon (the link posted above). It should be an Alliance release, otherwise you might be getting a bad quality boot.

God doesn't just tells me how much he "LOVE's" me, God shows me how much he "LOVE's" me. Both telling and showing "LOVE" means to "LOVE". They go hand in hand. You can't have one with out the other. Something is spoken, then followed by an action. That is

A friend’s cousin’s boy friend in the early 90's gave me this whole concert on cassette tape. I would always have my walk man at that time blasting from beginning to the end of the concert. He even put the instrumental version of Sign "O" The Times. biggrin

My favorite part is when Sheena Easton picks up the "Prince Sign O The Times" concert advertisement then gets in that little black European convertible and speeds across Paris to get to get on stage with Prince - CRUCIAL!
