Well, it's a U.K. 'giveaway' so perhaps you should be asking if anyone in the U.K. subscibe altho I suspect many, like myself, will pick up this one copy on 15th July.....trash newspaper...apart from THAT one of course lol

ah- thought it was only a london paper. w/e.

i've never seen so many fake leaks of an album as with planet earth

there are now at the very least 7 different leaks out there that are
complete and total fakes.

people even go to the trouble of making the correct tracklist and do
some editing to make the songs last exactly the right time.

yet the files always end up being other artists, porn or silence biggrin

incredible that someone goes to the trouble of creating those files,
just to post them on some p2p and have people bite their head off..

falloff

anywho, Zeitgeist seeped through the cracks steadily over the past
week so with a release date 1-2 weeks later i'm guessing that this
new prince album is about to end up online this weekend probably..

Some people from the dutch magazine "Nieuwe Revu" have attented a listening session of "Planet Earth". This week they will put a report about it on their website.

The reviews of this magazine on Prince albums in the past have mostly been 'on spot', so i am surprised to see what their first impressions are.

When it is put on their site, i will translate it in english and post it in here.

11 days out and still no leak. wtf has the internet come to?! what a waste of technology if I can't have thi!s album right now. I'm actually starting to get pissed about this.

It's bad enough I'm stucking in Hawaii busting my balls round the clock at work and can't make it to the 7/7/7 show(s) with my bf and all of his wonderful org friends, but I was hoping that I'd at least have the album as consolation. grr!

Probably already been mentioned, but...

Is that the album cover, with the 3121 in the background? Has he ever openly connected two albums like this before? It's as if Planet Earth is still supposed to be part of the 3121 experience (whatever that was exactly)

FYI - Dennis Chambers, the famous drummer for Santana, put a cd out last year named "Planet Earth". Does anyone remember a few years ago when Prince put samples of Santana's song "The Calling" on his site to show how Santana basically remade Larry Graham's song? Did Prince have to get permission to use that album title?

I thought that was a cheap idea.. i mean shit.. obviously he has some attachment to that whole thing, but this is an entirely new project, so i think that crappy crappy background should be a solid color.. or hell.. flying pigs.. anything than that stupid 3121 shit

"3121" is the new "NPG"... it seems to be his new branding slogan. the album, the fragrance, the club, blah blah blah.

Yeah, I don't think he's been producing any award winning album covers lately.

And Raze, I think you're right. It's not the album 3121, it's the concept 3121 (again, whatever that is)

K I really like Planet Earth (single) and Mr. Goodnight is going to grow on me though I typically don't like that rap/singsong thing that he does.

From all the songs I've heard Guitar is the weakest.

I'm now officially interested in the cd, and I haven't been interested in a prince cd in like 10 yrs.
