Given the definitions, it doesn't seem to be a girdle- though I did see some pictures that looked similar to what Prince is wearing. Its a modified corset- and it doesn't seem to be doing anything to his figure, prolly cause its not worn right and worn loosely for the picture. He's also wearing it the wrong way- because it is supposed to be an undergarment (at least it used to- these days ). Apparently, they make corsets for men (both heterosexual men and cross-dressing men- yes, there's a difference in the material used)

btw, I'm so glad that so far, hardly any tracks from this album have been performed and/or leaked. One of the dampeners of 3121 was that by the time the album was released, a large number of the songs had already been heard on an official basis.
This time around, only 'Guitar' has been heard in its studio incarnation.

Let's hope it stays that way.

I finally saw the commercial on the tele...it has this version. It's better.

I haven't seen a larger version yet.
But I think it will pop up soon... with all the announcements from Play and Amazon

I liked the first one, but this is cool too... now suddenly I think about what someone said: the album cover will be something special (like Diamonds & Pearls etc)

I though, wouldn't it be cool if the world was actually turning
But I don't see how they would do that... oh well...

Afer now finally hearing the new version of Guitar I'm getting really excited about the new album.

I liked the original, kinda nice little pop ditty. But the new version is great, maybe not a classic but very solid, the song went from a 6/10 to an 8/10 for me.

The new version of Guitar makes me think that the New album could be closer in sound to Gold than any other album, which would be great.

When I listen to Guitar I feel that Planet Earth won't be a concept album. Can not unite Guitar with a planet earth concept.

Maybe I'm getting old but... I find Prince's recent string of albums rather forgettable. There was a time when I'd know every Prince album inside and out, but I really couldn't tell you the exact track listing of 3121 or Musicology. They've kinda mixed together in my head, and although they both have songs I like, there's about a half-album of strong material between them.

I just hope Planet Earth is... interesting again. Y'know? The Rainbow Children may have been madder than a march hare but at least it was interesting. I do hope Planet Earth just has some substance - I'm tired of watching Prince chasing trends with his music. And please, no mentions of the "rims" on his "ride"...

He surely still isn't that desperate to create the perfect, multi-million selling opus? I certainly hope not. I mean, of course I'll enjoy it cos it's a Prince album, but I'd still prefer an album with many songs that do nothing for me on first listen, but after a few listens, really get under my skin and stay there for some time. Not instant fixes that last for a while, but get boring very quickly.

Here's to Planet Earth being something jaw-dropping and something that goes against the grain.
