Sorta sad, really.

If dude REALLY was so interested in money, he'd get up off a' them filmed live recordings, vault trax, unreleased videos and soundboard aftershows and put them shits up for sale on a website...but whatever. I'm tired of wishing for it. Who needs a soundboard feed and crystal clear video of Prince on stage with Ron Wood, Chuck D. and Sting when we can have a cell phone commercial pimping a poor song that eventually was re-mixed into an average one?

Oh, wait. I forgot about the...

PERFUME!

if it´s true, it´s real sad that an artist who was considered ´genius, freak, etc´ gets so desperate for money and attention.

Come on, Prince, u dont need it!

He can't be that desperate.... eek

If u read the actual article... there's a link 2 a link somewhere already in this post, the highly informed writer states that Prince will be doing 7 gigs at the O2 Arena! Not just a pinch, but a whole fistful of salt with this 1 I think.... However, it would be great!

So what? IF (and that's a big fucking IF) this was remotely true, everyone would love it, fuck wether it's a shit tv show or not, if you want exposure these days, TV is the only way. B/B is one of the highst rated shows in the UK (just shows what shit the country is turning into). There would be better ways though, like daytime television chat shows and Jonathan Ross type shows, where he could talk, play music and have fun at the same time, but get taken a little more seriously.

And let's remember that, apparently, he has no label marketing or distributing this new album, so he's going about things his own way, directly.

There were rumours a few years ago he was going to play Glastonbury and he didn't. Seeing as he views a television as a 'hellavision', I find it hard to believe he would devote such time to watching people ripping shit out of each other in verbal and other ways. From what I've heard him say, he doesn't like that kind of thing.

On the other hand, he could be trying to use the show to promote himself. It is watched by a lot of people and Prince playing on BB *could* be a bizarrely good move to get more people to come see his show and is an excellent vehicle for him to introduce himself to lots of different people. I think if it was done where the housemates had a task and he was there reward, *but not performing in the garden and not talking to them after* it could be somehow ok.
That's right, you are Divinity

This sounds so childish and not like Prince at all. His performs for VIP's and people with class why on earth would he lower himself to something like this? I turly doubt it! neutral

Surely, if he was 'LOWERING' himself to people with no 'class', he would be judging people materialistically.
It's no lower than using 'Pop Idol' or even appearing on 'Top Of The Pops', what's the difference? It's all about what HE can get out of it.
If he's produced 2 million albums, he's sure as hell gonna try and sell them, he has invested money in the product and without a major label he would (I hope) get himself 'out there'.

If Prince is really a fan of BB, what's next, his marraige to Jade?

"Emily Parr has been removed from the Big Brother house for using a racially offensive word to another housemate"

Lets hope he doesn't do it and if there is any truth in it the above should now distances himself completely away from this programme

i did a comedy pisstake review of the big brother experience earlier this year and announced that it would commence on 06.06.07 and be broadcast on all channels simultaneously. and now THIS ANNOUNCEMENT on that VERY DATE. How very bloody odd.

(tho my prediction for the series was about installing a nutter in the UK foreign office).

Mr Guardian writer's allusions to the book of revelations are pretty spot on too... ace.

I doubt very much if he will do the show now because of the racism, if the story of him performing on the show is true, bloody hope not that show is so trashy!
But sayin that it would be easy publicity for him because it has a massive viewing audience on eviction night and he know this and if he doesnt he would have been told.
Also C4 has been good for him in the past

Prince for "Big Brother"?
(Wednesday June 06, 2007 11:08 AM)

Prince is to play an impromptu show on "Big Brother" this summer, according to reports.

The diminutive star has scheduled a mammoth 21-date tour of the UK in August and September and is now apparently lining-up an appearance on the TV show.

He is expected to appear live either in the garden or on a video link beamed into the house from a London studio.

A 'source' explained: "Prince is a huge fan of 'Big Brother'. He has tuned in to every series of the show so far and loves the concept.

"His management are in discussions with producers Endemol to arrange a gig. Prince is hoping it will be an unforgettable moment that goes down in 'BB' history."

A Channel 4 insider told The Sun they were concerned that some of the people on the show won't recognise the pop legend.

"Housemates like Tracey the raver and Shabnam the R&B fan will probably be appreciative of their own audience with Prince.

"But some of the others probably won't have a clue who he is and won't realise what an amazing opportunity they are being given. It will be hilarious to see the different reactions."

Prince plays the first of seven London shows at the 02 Dome on August 1.
