Okay, here's a funky thread to toss a kink in your day! LOL!

If you could pick a Prince from any era--from the "For You" era to the present "3121" era, which would you pick and why?

To be fair, I'll answer first.

I love Prince and all of his incantations over the years but if I had to pick a Prince to paint the town purple with, I'd have to pick the "Dirty Mind" Prince.



I just find something so intruiging and maybe alarming about a sexy man running around in a trench coat and a pair of plum smugglers underneath.

He looks so dirty and raw and perverse and I'm just kinda entranced by that look and era. You look into Prince's face at any given point during that period and he always looks 2 seconds away from doing something erotic. He wasn't teasing or taunting. Prince was up front, out loud, and slapping you mericilessly with his sexuality.

And to drive the thought home, anyone who looks into my bedroom will find an abundance of photos from that era lining the walls, mingled with others, nay some of other artists, but you'll notice those first.

I just love it! LOL!

I would have loved to date him around the Rave era because alot of interesting things were going on and I'd love to talk to him all sorts of things...like the record industry, the world, music, changing his name back, even to find out why he choose to become a JW...he seemed to really speak his mind during back then with the interviews I have seen and that is ALWAYS attractive to me!

Plus he was so gorgeous during Rave...maybe even TOO gorgeous! His fashion back then was quite interesting!

I feel like an idiot because during the Rave era I was not listening to him...I was a Prince fan prior to that for years growing up and then around this time I sorta stopped listening to his music after Emancipation....if only I would have know how damn fine he was back then..and he was doing PP parties too and hung around Mpls! I get so jealous when friends talk about seeing him/meeting him from around this time.

Based on last night, I would date from 1994. He really seems to be in touch with his feelings and such and oh... his music says so much. And he's so passionate about it.

And if I had a 2nd choice, I could definitely take him as he is now cuz I think he looks great. He's got his hair going the right way which really takes away a few years and makes him look 30 something rather than almost 50.
