I know! and it's hard because I really like the song... A LOT, I like the laid back beat and feel of the song.... but the sonogram sample like stabs me in the heart with every beat.
I can remember listening to my own baby's sonogram and just marveling at my baby's heartbeat. I can only imagine Prince and Mayte doing the same thing... Prince playing it for Rhonda and Rhonda picking up the beat with her bass.... the end of that story (baby dying) is too sad. Solo's been really getting to me lately. The past few listens to Come, its been like the stand-out track... what the album is ultimately about (the "death" of Prince)...

and Letitgo kinda has a bittersweet aftertaste cuz it sounds like his last "will and testament"

Purple Rain was the most emotional song in his collection.
When you have 300 people in a movie theater crying at the same time it has to be a powerful song.

The Cross in the SOTT movie. Seeing Boni and those flowers brings tears to my eyes.

I definitely rank that highly among his sadder songs.
To me, both visually and thru the song itself, its one of those songs that says what lengths Prince would go for his art.
He lives so much for it that he'd die for it... before getting to know him as I know him now, it was one of those songs that made me worry if he really would die for his art.
