Prince, naturally, would have to play Frank. He's perfect for the role: He can sing and dance and is more than comfortable moving about in high heels and thick makeup. Plus -the dude already sports the odd corset from time to time(a la Planet Earth) so there wouldn't be much issue with wardrobe. Added bonus: Acting skills are not exactly a pre-requisite for RHPS.

But who could be the supporting players? Girlfriends/wives? Proteges? Ex-band members? I can see a certain Dr. in a wheelchair....

I think Prince would be better as Riff, actually.

You're not too far off. Dig; true story. In late 82, after I had already had the 1999 album, my clique, who were called the Rude Boys and Girls. (we were 13 so give me a break) all were in drama class in Jr. High in the valley in So. Cal. Every Saturday night in Westwood, we would go to see Rocky Horror. We would catch a ride from Stacy, who was 16 and cool as hell. For some reason, she always wanted to go with us. Anyway, my clique were obviously into P. We wore the Controversy type coats, with the studs and the bandanas and of course, tons of rude boy buttons lined up on one side of the trench. I even had guitar picks glued on the shoulder of mine, to look like flower petals. In honour of Dez. This was easy to get these clothes cuz we lived so close to Hollywood and the punk rock scene was HUGE out here. Stores sold all of this shit. Especially thrift stores. I had 6 trench coats. 3 black, 2 navy blue and one gray. All had the studs on one shoulder. All of us in this little clique dressed like this. Girls included. Anyway, when we first went to go see Rocky Horror for the first time, I couldn't fucking believe how much Prince was like Tim Curry. I mean, P had the whole thing down. The strut, the sway, the eyes, the frown, the crazy ass grin, the facial makeup, the whole 9. This was BEFORE the 1999 tour had even came out to L.A. P had all of this shit on the Controversy tour. There is NO WAY in hell P hadn't studied that film, frame by frame. Hell, look at Tim's performance during "Im" Comimg Home" and look at ANY P performance doing Purple Rain, from 84 and 85.

Anyway, after seeing the film so many times during my Jr. High period, we had already started picking who could play who. Lisa was obviously Columbia and Jill was Magenta. We actually had Dez as Riff Raff. But that was as far as we could go. We started using some of the Time members to fill in the rest but they were too cool, so it didn't fit. It was when I had gotten into high school and the glorious year of 84 hit with the fucking release of When Doves Cry that it was complete. Wendy actually looked like Magenta. We couldn't believe it. It was like P knew. The whole Lisa and Wendy thing, (that was how they were called back then, not Wendy and Lisa) ooozed Columbia and Magenta.
