Songs that sound like Guitar? Can you think of any other of Prince's songs that sound like Guitar? One of my friends heard the entire version of Guitar this afternoon on my phone, and she asked to listen to it a couple more times after that.  That made me proud. I've been trying to get her to listen to Prince FOREVER and she finally likes one of his songs. I'm thinking of making her a CD mix with songs that sound similar to Guitar. Any ideas? | |

But actually I've been raving about Guitar since it was released, definitely has an old school Prince sound if you ask me, kind of 1985ish. Not a Prince song but from the RENT musical/sountrack...'Another Time / Another Place'...the verses of 'Guitar' remind me of that...

Actually, listen to the Talking Heads song, "Lifetime Piling Up". It bears an uncanny resemblance to the first verion of "Guitar".
