Do/did they live up to their reputation?

Thanks to some people here, I've familarized myself with more of Prince's material over the past few weeks. I have the free time, so I'm checking into things. I've already heard a few songs people have raved about here and as a still a newbie, I get really excited when I get into some of the most talked about songs on the boards.

I'll just mention three.
Computer Blue (full version)
Moonbeam Levels
Something in the water (does not compute)

2/3, I would say yes. And they've surpassed my expectations.

Something in the water is a good song. In fact, it could be the precursor of "Computer Blue," cuz he does portray himself as a sort-of computer here. I wouldn't call it exceptional, but it is good.

Computer Blue has surpassed every expectation I had for it. I thought it would be brilliant and it was way beyond that.
Moonbeam Levels, I just heard a few minutes ago... incredible! It does sound like Prince really dove into his own mind for this one. Only he could pull that off.

So I'm curious.
What songs have you heard a lot about and have wanted to listen to?
And once u have, did they live up to the hype or not?
had 2 run away... pride was 2 strong. It started raining, baby, the birds were gone
