I love "When I lay my hands on you" from the first time I heard! Didn't know there is a video - are there more of them???

The song is sublime - the video is terrible. I don't think there's a complete video of this, since only a 1:08 version was released as a video track on NPGMC back in the day. NPGMC said at the time that he was filming video 'snippets' for all of his new tracks and completed videos for a select few. Never saw the point of that myself, unless it was tied to a product the way Guitar is.
Funny thing about this video is that this song was available free before the club opened, and it was the first Prince download I ever got, and the first song I ever played on Windows Media Player. The sound of it always reminded me of the WMP sound vizualizations. Perhaps that's what Prince thought of too, since that's pretty much what's used as the background for this video... | |

Amazing that this song never made it 2 an album proper.
The way the drums R recorded, the layered vocals, the lyrics, the guitar, and the arrangement (right down 2 the last note), R perfectly Prince. The video doesn't relay the power of the song, 2 say the least. "He's a musician's musician..." | |

Ditto. This song goes to the very core of me. It envokes so many emotions. Too many to identify just one.I wish there was a full vid. but thankful to see any amount.
Prince, please release this song, I lost all my downloads and I really hate to live without this one. | |

There is only this partial video out. It was released in early 2001 for the launch of the "then-new" NPG Music Club. Only about one minute of the video was shown and available for MPGMC members to download in February 2001. | |
