In light of my other little thread about the song "Free" and for calldapplwondery83, here's another song from P's best album, 1999, "All The Critics Love U In New York". On this one, at precisely 3:50, Prince double tracks his vocal with some more cursing when he sings "All the critics love u" by singing underneath "All the bitches love u". He just overdubs this track right along with the other one. He's far from the first to do this. The Beatles, who were straight geniuses when it came to anything like this; hidden double tracking, backward masking, etc., had a well known hidden double track in "Baby, You're A Rich Man". Anyway, like I know many of ya'll broke out and listened to Free, go ahead and do the same with this cut. Be sure to cue it up at 3:50 and listen. Tell me if ya'll hear this or not.

Like a totally different cat. I'm glad I saw him live so many times during this period, when although he was popular, he was still underground and had a cult following. I now took a good listen to it and what I have to say is: How on earth can you hear that????? My ears are excellent but I just don't hear ANYTHING other than "All the critics love you in New York" 2 times. What am I doing wrong since you guys can hear it? Seriously, I need to know. Help me black
