PLANET EARTH I read the following news that was posted May 28th, 2007.
I hope it's true and valid information. CALLING PLANET EARTH – THE EARTH TOUR The Earth Tour has landed! The Earth Tour, which begins in London will be its only dates in Europe in 2007. The dates in London sold out in just 20 minutes leaving the organisers frantically adding 7 extra dates. At the shows Prince will be giving away copies of his new album, "Planet Earth" to everyone who comes to the show. He came to London to announce The Earth Tour at a press conference. Knowing that his hardcore fans will visit more than one show on the tour, Prince said he had learned 150 songs to perform at the stint so that he could perform a different set list every night. However, also targeting casual fans, he priced tickets at moderate £31.21, with the stage 'in the round' guaranteeing everyone a great view. The reason for his long stay in London? Prince told the press conference that he had performed some of his best shows there, confirming that his favourite venue was Earls Court - itself too small to cater for this tout which is being used by phone network O2 to promote their new 23,000 capacity venue, The O2, formally known as the Millennium Dome, now London's first purpose-built concert venue since the Royal Albert Hall opened in the 1870's! He admitted though he would not plan to visit London again for some time, prompting many fans buy tickets for several dates. Following the day of the press conference he gave a performance Koko, a club in London's trendy Camden Town, playing tracks such as Girls And Boys, Lolita, Black Sweat, Kiss, Gotta Broken Heart Again, U Got The Look, Nothing Compares 2 U, Lets Go Crazy and his favourite cover at the moment, Gnarls Barkley's - Crazy. The tickets for his 15-date run at The O2 sold out in minutes when they went on sale the following morning. For all the details and dates of The Earth Tour visit our tour page. News of the tour has almost overshadowed the news of his new album, which is expected to hit the streets on 7 July (7/7/07)!

I did a search and found this website: http://www.goldiesparade....wsroom.htm Hopefully it's true, because I think we're all chomping at the bit, which happens whenever Prince puts out something new. The one thing that is questionable is the CD release date that is on a Saturday. The US release date usually fall on a Tuesday. Although, Saturday is not impossible due to whatever deal has been signed. I remember buying Crystal Ball on a Saturday from a well known retail store and it was a legit release and purchase.

look, as we can all plainly see from his current partnerships with macy's and verizon, prince is trying to show his down-with-the-cause grassroots activist side. don't hate!

look, as we can all plainly see from his current partnerships with macy's and verizon, prince is trying to show his down-with-the-cause grassroots activist side. don't hate! I'm glad he's making all of these partnerships. Whatever he has to do to get the recognition that he deserves, is fine by me. I like the fact that he's being creative on a business and promo marketing level, due to the fact that he never got it with WB. Could all of this effort be a "Swan Song"?

then i guess you'd have a pair of shoes. A pair of shoes that I would dance around in, while listening to the new CD (as my wife points and laughs during the whole thing).

I understood. That was mainly for the haters. Concerning the charities, I haven't heard which ones they are. I'm surprised that there has not been a website created ahead of time in conjunction with the promo information.

I enjoy granola AND lesbians. Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it. |

sigh.....
Judging on the current single 'guitar' this is another calculated, wathered down album like Musicology and 3121 were. Prince, what are you doing?

(sarcasm for the sarcasmically challenged) too early to tell what the album will be like

The album will be a mixture of styles, just like most of Prince's albums
(no shock there). As for the new album's release, last thing I heard Prince still hadn't signed any kind of record/distribution deal for it, so chances are that it'll be download only at first. I'm sure there will be an actual CD release at some point, but at the moment it looks like this will happen later on (certainly there will be CDs ready to distribute at the London shows from August 1st onwards).
