THE dethroned King Of Pop has been snubbed by PRINCE in his latest bid to launch a career comeback.

MICHAEL JACKSON begged the purple one to tour with him in a desperate attempt to get back into the charts.

But Prince told him to Beat It as he already had plans laid out for a string of UK dates this summer.

And, anyway, why on earth would Prince want Wacko along to reign on his parade?

Michael accepted a £5million pay cheque for an appearance at the Sultan of Brunei’s son’s 25th birthday. But he spent all night slumped on the dancefloor moaning about not being able to do the gig.

A source said: “Michael seemed pretty gutted about it. He said he’d approached Prince to see if he would like to work together. But Prince wasn’t interested in gigging with him.

“There would be so much hype surrounding Wacko’s first gig it would end up turning into the Michael Jackson show.

“Prince had his own plans. He is a legend in his own right. He doesn’t need to be support for anyone.”
