TICKETS LOCATIONS, PERFUME, SHIRT

Okay Vent Here! I was originally going to post a history of the evenings events leading up to the ticket sale, but I think people would like to say a few things here.

Many of us are not happy with the location of the seats. For having waited so long in line, even though I had a great time, they are not very good seats. Hence why after waiting in line all night just before we walk in the door they show us the seating chart! confused

My husband who is not a Prince fan listened to me complain for quite awhile about Prince's poor relations with his fans. He came to his defense and said P really is not to blame....however, I can't help but hold him accountable.

I don't like the perfume! I am not going to lie just because I like Prince. I would tell it to his face. It is nothing special and it is a little too busy. (as Darrin said) I think it smells like some cheap perfume. For Prince I think it could have been better...heck, I could have created something that smelled more "Princeish." CALL ME! lol

My husband laughed when he saw the t-shirt and said it would fit our 5 year-old daughter.

I am happy to be going to my first Prince concert...mostly looking forward to seeing everyone I met "camping" again.

Right? lol

Geez...I'd sell my grandmother to be at this thing -- anywhere in the house. (I live within driving distance -- but can't go because I have friends getting married that day.)

Count your blessings.

Ok! Here I come and you all know I speak my mind smile at least on the org. I'm too shy in public. wink

I completely back everything Girl66 say. I was standing in line with her.

1- The perfume does smell like cheap perfume. If you guys don't have it yet, then just wait before judging and criticize what Girl66 is saying.
2- The seating chart at the Target Center is what took my smile and good mood away. (Ok, having my daughter go through all this is the biggest factor lol but still.)
We are in lower level indeed but none of us got the main floor. We are in the SECOND section of the whole crowd. mad mad
3- The private concert is first come first serve. Are we going to have to camp again to see Prince close enough to be satisfied.

If anyone want to buy my biggest bottle, be my guest.
I will be selling my Target Concert very soon too unless we're getting an Afterparty during the show. razz

Peace!

I guess with him being a 30 year veteran in the music industry, and as big as his name is....I expected so much more from him. Especially in his home town and having not been here in awhile.

Don't get me wrong...I am happy for the Macy's show and seeing him in concert....but this type of #@!) I would expect from Justin Timberlake.

well as soon as I read the ingredients for that perfume I figured it wouldn't be too hot, it's got bergamont in it and that is not a great smell iT's used a a medicinal herb hmmm, but I don't think the seats will be too bad, I have sat that far back at a Prince concert and when the lights went out it's still okay! smile

Yeah, but what are your chances to be called on stage?

Lower tier seats can be great -- better than floor, IMO. You're level with the stage and not too far away. On the floor, you're always looking up and/or around someone else's head. There are always extra people trying to crowd into the rows. And the sight lines are generally terrible.

The best seat I ever had at a Prince concert was in Milwaukee in 1997. We were in about the eighth row of the first tier -- right off the stage left corner of the stage.

So I wouldn't get all wrapped around the axle about your seats. They could be fantastic. And whatever happens -- you're in the flippin' house. That's more than a lot of us can say.

I thought about the view too when thinking about floor seats. Don't really care to be pulled up on stage.

I've gotten floor seats before and actually traded seats with people in the first tier. I truly prefer being "up." cool

Right. Well. I already have a buyer for the bottle and I will still sale my concert ticket. I will only go to the first concert and hopefully to the afterparty, if there is one :saint:
I am still deciding on what to do with the T.shirt.
I will keep my small bottle.

Now, I'm going to try to look really sexy and hopefully, he'll come to me. J/K

Honestly, did you really expect the perfume to smell good? lol Prince is known for making music, he's no Coco Chanel! smile But that is disappointing about the seats at the Target Center. However, from what I've read, unless you're in the first few rows of the floor, it is better view-wise to be in the lower levels.

hmmm The description of the scent seems way too busy (and isn't there some patchouli barf), but I do love gardenia! Is it possible that I might actually like this?!?

Frankly, I got everything I expected out of the Macy's package. The perfume isn't one I'll wear, but it's a nice souvenir (considering I'd never purchase andy other perfume without testing it first, this was about the concert, not the scent lol ). And I disagree that it smells cheap, I don't think it does, it's just not something I like.

I was NOT expecting main floor or top tier seats with the package, since we have the opportunity the same day at the Macy's show to have a close, intimate Prince "experience". Sure, I was hoping for maybe a little better than we received (on the side rather than the back of the stadium), but overall I'm fine with what we got.

The T shirt fits me perfectly and as I stated on another thread, is the only Prince Tee I've ever owned that I'll wear in public. lol Normally I'm not a fan of any of his merchandise and the Tees tend to be hideous, but this one I like.

And I'm being completely honest here. Maybe I've been around long enough to see the HUGE fiascos, I've waited all night outside Paisley Park in the freezing cold, etc. that all things considered, I really couldn't be much happier with how the Macy's package was handled.
