Yes , I do miss his sense of humor. I think he lost it when he met Larry Graham and turned into a JW. He's so darn serious nowadays

The reason why, IMO, some of those songs are my favorites! They tell a story. Take "Movie Star" vs. "Get on the Boat" - movie star I can picture a jackass all the way thru the song!!! Better than a repeat chorus, repeat chorus..

I think its just a sign of the times. A young man eventually growing up to be a man. Those songs you've mentioned Prince recorderd a long time ago early in his career. So I don't think he's lost his sense of humor, he's just matured now.
