I think that NEWS is a really good album. But does anyone know why this was released as a proper CD to buy while Xpectation and C-Note were not? I find this a pity because it is a different side of him as an artist and a pity not to be able to buy them.

i think it's a shame too...i mean, it doesn't need any major release, but as a little side offering from a small jazz label, i think it would be nice. it's far from my favorite prince project, but i think it deserves more attention than it got.

i hope one day we'll see a princestrumental box set with xpectation, C-NOTE, n*e*w*s* and the madhouse projects on it. i know it's unrealistic, but i can dream!

It was supposed to be released, right? As one of the 4 discs for NPGMC members the second year, I thought.


When it didn't, I think it was rushed out there as a download to quiet all the bitching about not getting 4 albums because the second year was almost up.


It and C-Note are worthy of release, though, I think. It probably isn't of any interest to non-completists, but then NEWS probably isn't either, so I'm not sure what the difference is.


Anx, I love your idea of a Princestrumental box set! Can we get both 24 albums too, please? and Times Squared as well? Pretty please, with sugar on top?

NPGMC had announced Xpectation to be part of a 7-Disc set called The Chocolate Invasion. C-Note, Slaughterhouse, Chocolate Invasion among others, were to be part of the set.

The Chocolate Invasion is put on hold 4 now, indefinitely. There was a
problem with the manufacturing and until the bug is worked out, we'd
rather not have u wondering when ur home would b invaded. As soon as we
have any new info 2 report, u will b notified immediately. The members
of the NPGMC deserve the best, thank u 4 ur patience.

kinda hard to share with friends tho

even throw in "Venus De Milo," "Alexa De Paris," and various instrumental versions

This saddens me. I wanted to buy Xpectation, but I was going on vacation in Puerto Rico for two weeks last July, and decided to save my money and buy it after I came back.


The day before my plane back home was the day the NPGMC got unexpectedly shut down.

I never got to listen to Xpectation. =(

Where else can I get it now?
