Am I the only one who prefers the "pop" version of Witness 4 the Prosecution"??

I love the pop version! It has hit written all over it.

The intro alone..."Until one breaks the other ones heart!"

I feel the "favoured" version, although its raw, sounds like a demo.

The "pop" Camille version rules and was worthy of the SOTT/Camille/Crystal ball albums!

One of the best boots ever! Along with Good Love, it could have made the best double A side ever!

I personally prefer the original version of witness...as you said, it was more raw, more dirty. But the pop version, I really dont care for. I think it's too fast. The original version just grooves, while the pop version's atmosphere is just all over the place.

that version is great. When did he record that version? he refers to the electric chair a lot in the song, and I was wondering wether it could have been recorded around the batman era.

When I made my 45 minute Prince Bootleg mix, I had interpolated both of them in there. I like the 1988 version a little more. The bluesy jazzy one is ok but the FUNK gotsta have DAT FUNK! I has 2 gets Funked Up.

I love when he says "Gimme death row, gimme solitare!" wtf?lol!

Ten he adds more adlibbing in this one talking off the bat in his funny way. I love him.

I also prefer the "pop" version with the Camille voice. It sounds like a funky remix of the original version.

I only like the guitar version...the one with horns is too pop.
