Thank you. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

It's an unreleased outtake from the Purple Rain era.Great song! yeah. The first time I heard it, I didn't think it was better than TB1's (which ultimately replaced it on the album)... but after a couple of more listens, I just think of it as beautiful. Based on the name, I thought it was gonna be something like Endorphinmachine (which I"m not exactly fond of), but it was the exact opposite. I think it was a little too deep for the movie. I like the song a lot, but I TB1's had 2 run away... pride was 2 strong. It started raining, baby, the birds were gone

I love this song and think it's a sin that a studio version was never officially released. Why was this not included on Crystal Ball at least? Since he has said he wanted us to hear cleaned up versions of some of the boots circulating, why not this one, which has a couple of variations out there? I seem to recall reading that it is believed he did some studio work on it.... [Edited 5/28/07 8:53am] Ask where they're going, they'll tell U – "Nowhere"

I've always dug this song. I swear, it sounds a lot like this theme song to this soft porn program that used to come on cable in 82 and 83 called "Electric Blue". Anybody remember that program? I always thought "P must have seen this show, cuz the music is similar as well as the title." Super pity he never released this officially. I know it didn't fit with the script that was used. I think P had plans on releasing it after Purple Rain. Maybe that's why he didn't include it on any of the b-sides of the Rain singles. But after he decided to go with ATWIAD instead, then nah, it ended up getting pushed to the side, over and over. That song would have been perfect on my "phanthom album" after Rain and in the place of ATWIAD. If P had released THIS album after the Purple Rain tour was over in 85, well.....

However, can we put 17 Days on this too? Of course, it could remain a B-side of one of these... Ask where they're going, they'll tell U – "Nowhere"
