The First Prince Song I heard had to be (honestly) "Kiss". I remember watching Mtv and Julie Brown had her own show, she played the Prince video for "Kiss" and was dancing in front of it and I recall being mesmerized by his image.
I did, see Purple Rain at the Drive In, but couldn't really comprehend it, because I was 7 years old. So I only remembered the performances but not the songs. Don't even ask (lol), I think I was just a kid who needed ridlin to calm my lil butt down (lol). So "Kiss" was when I actually paid attention and became a fan.

The First Prince Album I bought with my own allowance was "Lovesexy", once again I was mesmerized by his image as he was nude on the cover and I remember the guy at the record store (detroit audio) asking me if my parents knew I was buying this record and I quickly said "YES" and pointed to my mom.
I don't think my mom knew Prince was nude on the cover, she later asked me to take the album cover off my dresser (lol).


The First Prince Concert I attended was The Act 1 Tour on April 2, 1993...It snowed that day also. Hmmm how Ironic. It was the greatest show on earth, plus my first, so I'll never forget that date.


Prince Movies: Purple Rain was a household fav., all my cousins would watch PR over and over again, so It will always have a special place in my heart. My favorite Prince movie is Under the cherry moon. Its one of those films I can watch in 2007 and remember the days of my childhood. I thought this was the best Prince movie ever made and til this day, it still is!
Sign O'Times, I rented this from a video store a few times and finally, I ended up buying it (lol). Its one of the best concert films I've ever seen (to date).
Graffiti Bridge -Yes I did see this film in the theatre with my mom and um there were about 10 others there...because the film had been in the theatres for sometime at that point. I enjoyed it as a kid, now as an adult, I find myself not being able to sit through the entire movie. Its not bad, just not the type of movie I would recommend to a casual prince fan, you really gotta understand prince's way of creation in order to really appreciate this long form music video. I just like to watch him, because he's so unique. The GB period was definitely one of his best looks.


I love Black Sweat, Call My Name, Musicology, Kiss, Rasberry Beret, Sexuality, Partyman, Batdance, Gett Off, Sexy MF, The Most Beautiful Girl, Somebody's Somebody, Holy River, Betcha by golly wow, I wanna be your lover, Alphabet Street.

I own all his albums (now on cd).
I love his earlier albums as equally as his latest work.
I love all his love songs, there's just so many.
Lets just say I love all of his songs freaky and clean (lol).
