That "Little Red Corvette" remix is the shit!!! Hell yeah!   I'm jamming to this funky groove right now. It's just so amazing how Prince blended sexy and soulful vocals with hard rockin' guitars, cold New Wave synths, and a dense, funky ass beat you can jam to! This song alone is proof of the man's genius!

Your comment is interesting because when I heard that funky bass on the remix, I thought that the song might not have had the same crossover appeal. There are soooo many long jams on 1999, it seems a shame that they didn't include this one. At least it's available on CD though!

It's available on iTunes, as is the entire "Ultimate" album with lots of other extended remixes. I'd reccomend Raspberry Beret, U Got the Look, and She's Always in my Hair for starters. | |
