I'm dating a non-Prince person. The only thing he has to say is..."Shoot the J, Shoot it!!" and "Prince would whoop my ass in a game of b-ball". razz I'd strangle him if he really tried to say anything bad. eek I kinda got him to listen to a few songs. We watched Graffiti Bridge together and he slow danced with me to "The Question of U". I thought that was very sweet of him.

He won't wear the ass-less pants I got him, though. sad

Of course. My BF borderline hates Prince and I hate Barbara Streisand. It's kind of fun to torment each other about it. And we have plenty of other things in common to make up with. smile

Sure. There's more to life than Prince.

:gasp: there is??

Haha... I'm just kidding.

At times its so easy to forget that cuz I think about and/or listen to him on a daily basis. I kinda have to, though... cuz its hard to come back, even if I take a 2-day break from his music.
He's integrated himself into my life cuz I let him... but these days, I feel like I have a little more control over my actions.

Anyway... I have my idea of what I'd like in a guy... I'm just not the most sociable or out-going person in the world so its kinda hard for me to meet anyone...
but Prince would be a deal-breaker on one condition: he spends a great deal of our time together saying how "lame" Prince is and such... that would just be annoying.
had 2 run away... pride was 2 strong. It started raining, baby, the birds were gone

My honey doesn't really like Prince (or any male singer) but he took me to Vegas and he bought a digital drum kit for me for my birthday...He also bought the Crystal Ball for me when we were dating...I know I probably creep him out with the amount of CD covers I have positioned strategically in my office, not to mention my screensaver. lol...I knew before I married him that I was borderline 'fanatic' when it comes to my funky big brother. The bigger question is Do those who marry Prince enthusiast think they are getting a freak for a mate?????

Well, being around anyone you like or love, be it a signficant other or a family member, who constantly puts down and pisses all over something in life that you love is pretty fucking annoying, no matter what it is.

When I look to get with someone, it's their dick I'm interested in, not their musical taste. If they got some good dick, I don't give a damn if they listen to Willie Nelson. lol

Shame on you andy! there are children in this thread! Well, I think there is. LOL.

Anyway, my wife likes Prince but she doesn't like my obsession, which is probably fair enough. I like Disturbed but her obsession with them has slightly annoyed me in the past, I don't really know why. And my Prince obsession is way higher than her Disturbed obsession.

Speaking of Disturbed, oooh I just remembered there's a new KoRn song out.

*goes to MySpace to listen to KoRn*

I used to date one

he's all religified & stuff

masturbating with a magazine"

is the only line a Prince hater

to answer the question though
sure, I'd date a non-Prince lover
they just have to understand
when I get in my mood, I get in my mood
and I don't wanna hear any commentary

i dunno.. I would like to know that the person had respect for my musical taste, if they were different from his. Music means too much 2 me and helps me get through alot, so I could never give it up for someone just b/c they thought Prince was weird.

Romeoblu

I have never met in the flesh another Prince Fan since 1988.

At college there were a number of Prince fans I knew but was never really friends with them.

A few of my friends think he's alright and have a few albums, I also have a couple of Friends who hate him.

My wife thinks he's alright and is going to one of the London shows with me.

I never discuss Prince with anyone other than on the net, unless they ask me something which is extremley rare.

I never try to convert people.
