Does anyone know, or care to speculate, on when and where the rumoured new album was most likely recorded. How much time do you know or think P spent recording this rumoured new disc?

There are people who know something about this new album, btw. As to the speculation, Prince has been in Vegas since November. Do people think that much of this rumoured disc was recorded prior to the 3121 gigs or do you think he was recording in Vegas or elsewhere on his off days?

All or at least part of it was recorded in MPLS. When I went to 3121 in February we thought there was going to be an aftershow following the Sunday concert but there wasn't. The people lined up out front were told by the employees that Prince had left and hopped on a plane to MPLS to work on new music. Later, when I saw the band members hanging out in the restaurant, they confirmed this and expressed surprise because they didn't even know they wouldn't be doing the aftershow or that Prince was planning to go to MPLS until right after the concert. The next day he was spotted at local hangout in MPLS.

And beyond that, the whole concept of where the inspiration comes from in the first place? As someone who has never been able to write something orignal, I'm fascinated by the ability to do so. I'd love to be a fly on the wall and undestand why a certain effect was chosen or how many concepts were considered before settling on what is evenutally released.

Don't take things so literally. Any insight to the creative process is indeed very fascinating and not obsessive at all. I think it is would be very interesting to know when, where and how long the recording sessions for this disc took, especially since he had been performing every weekend from November to April. Although he has recorded while on tour, this is the first time that he may have recorded while having scheduled gigs every weekend. Chill bro'! I do have a life, really. I guess sometimes curiosity kills the cat.
