Um... I pretty much entirely slept on this project for years because I was never a member, but last night I took a listen to the NPGMC version of One Nite Alone (not the live retail version, mind you)...

OH MY GOD is that title track sexy!?! Sort of Prince channeling Tori and Me'shell. Good vocal work, great piano work and DARNED sexy lyrics! (Crappy mixing, though.)

The ONE NITE ALONE package overall is fair, but was there a buzz about the title song when it was released? Did people not like it? Or did too many of us altogether miss it?

I much prefer the live version on the boxset. The album version is a little dull in comparison.

Great album all in all though. Pearls B4 The Swine, A Case Of U, Have A Heart... all great tracks!

There will always be those who will jump at the chance to diss this album but it's underrated and actually pretty good

Yeah but it cuts out the pretentious talking parts which really aren't all that necessary.

I LOVE those parts! It's usually kinda cheesy when he does that sort of thing, but I think it comes off well here. Gives the song a better narrative quality.
