Silly Question about "Push" Why does Prince say before his rap, "You don't want me on the mic." If anything, I thought his voice, singing and rapping was the highlight on the track. I was curious, does saying that have some history or something? Or is it just a random thing? Sorry for the silly question.

I think he says that as when he gets on the mic he is gonna be so good he will put the others to shame...

Couldn't have said it better myself. "Plaid shorts are completely over."

I think it's just random. Prince is just play acting coy about singing/rapping.
